ResuMate AI utilizes generative AI (third-party cloud AI engines) to evaluate, score, and offer suggestions for optimizing resumes. Users must understand the limitations of LLMs (Large Language Models) when using our platform for career preparation.

1Model "Hallucinations" & Scoring Inaccuracies

AI systems are trained on large corpuses of text and generate responses based on statistical probability. As a result, the models:

  • May occasionally generate suggestions that contain factual inaccuracies or recommendations that do not align with standard resume writing principles.
  • May misinterpret or fail to properly categorize highly specialized technical terms, acronyms, or specific formatting styles.
  • Calculate scores (overall ATS score, keyword matching, content impact, formatting) that are simulated estimates and do not perfectly replicate any specific proprietary corporate ATS algorithms.

2Algorithmic Bias

Large Language Models can inherit biases present in their training data. ResuMate AI tries to mitigate this by implementing strict system prompt rules instructing the AI model to analyze inputs purely based on professional and objective criteria. However, we encourage users to critically review all generated feedback.

3Verification & Responsibility

It is your sole responsibility as a job applicant to:

  • Review, edit, and verify all suggestions generated by ResuMate AI before including them in your resume.
  • Ensure that any modified bullet points accurately reflect your true achievements, work experience, and capabilities. Do not lie or exaggerate your skills based on AI suggestions.
  • Validate that your resume layout is readable and visually formatted correctly for humans.
